3M 4936 is a gray double coated acrylic foam tape with thickness of 0.6mm. It’s actually a part of the 3M4941 tape family, and each tape in this family has multi purpose acrylic adhesive and conformable foam carrier but different in thickness, color and liner type.
3M4936 can bond to a broad range of high and medium surface energy substrates including metals, glass and a wide variety of paints and plastics as well as plasticized vinyl. It can replace the function of liquid glue, rivets, screws and welds during all kinds of manufacturing process like decorative item mounting, mechanism components bonding, automotive car assembly, window and doors installation and electronic LCD display assembly, etc.

However, because of the wide variation in vinyl formulations, evaluation by the user must be conducted with the specific vinyl used to ensure that performance will be satisfactory over time
