Similar to electrical flexible laminate insulation to 416LAM, Nomex 464LAM is a lightweight paper type. It has only one thickness which is 0.05 mm (2 mil), and can be single side or double side laminated with Mylar film, Polyester film and Kapton film according to thermal requirements of the application, and the most common construction are NM(Nomex+Mylar), NMN(Nomex+Mylar+Nomex), NK (Nomex+Kapton) and NKN(Nomex+Kapton film+Nomex).
The NMN or NKN series is constructed by high temperature adhesive system, which would not delaminate or blister under high temperatures condition. The adhesive systems feature high dielectric strength, good initial tear strength, tensile strength, and long-term thermal stability.

The same features with 416LAM, Nomex 464 LAM is also used after being laminated with mylar film and kapton film into three-ply construction. These construction contributes high dielectric strength, good initial tear strength and tensile property and thermal stability. These laminated materials provide electrical insulation for slot liners, wedges and phases insulation motors, transformers, welding and mining equipment, etc. Besides, Nomex paper also provides excellent electrical insulation to improve durability and performance of EV batteries and motors without losing thermal stability.
