NOMEX Type 414 has similar electrical and thermal stability property of NOMEX 410 but with more flexible and conformable sheet with open surface. It is available thicknesses ranging from 0.18 mm (7 mil) to 0.38 mm (15 mil), with specific gravity ranging from 0.9 to 1.0. With excellent features of long term operating high temperature at 220℃ and inherent dielectric strength, Nomex 414 is ideally for the use as slot insulation in hand-wound motors, linear wrapping of wire, as well as main insulation for dry-type transformers where conformability and impregnability are required. It can be also laminated with 3M adhesive tapes like 3M 467, 3M9460PC etc, and then die cut into small parts to provide immediate usage in various of application.
