Formex GS Seriesis specially material with surface static electricity eliminated. It’s a type of ESD protection material to use in industrial and electronic equipment, and they can eliminate surface static electricity, especially for electrostatic sensitive IC to avoid the components damage or burn due to use of conductive materials. GS Series includes GS-10, GS-17 and GS-30 with thickness ranging from 0.25mm(0.01’’)-0.76mm(0.03’’). Compared with GK Series, GS has extra function of ESD property, which can provide superior electric surge shielding in industrial and consumer electronic equipment. Formex GS series materials are available in both roll size and sheet size, and GBS could also provide adhesive backing service to laminate GS material with 3M 467 and die cut into custom shapes and sizes as per requests.

Formex GS is similar to Formex GK in many aspects, but the biggest difference is that GS Series has ESD protection on one surface. With a static electrical charge, it safely dissipates the charge across the surface of the material to a ground. Formex GS materials has been applied to a wide variety of industrial and consumer electrical applications as electric surge shielding, compliance barriers, electrical insulation, and thermal insulation. It can be heat formed or thermal formed where more complex geometry or rigid bends are required.
