Bisco HT-840 is a type of extra firm Cellular Silicone Foam with higher tear and tensile strength than the lighter grade silicone foam. The thickness is available from 0.063 to 0.25 in. It’s a very firm grade silicone foam that offers superior sealing capabilities and durability. It’s designed for the use in enclosures requiring a more durable, high closure force gasket. This material is also ideal for use in press pads requiring greater conformability and even pressure distribution at high temperatures. It can be used for sealing and protecting outdoor communication, lighting and electronic enclosures from small dust particles, wind-driven rain and fire. HT-840 is usually applied by laminating adhesive tape on one side or two sides then die cut into custom parts for easy application.
