Bisco HT-820 is a type of firm Cellular Silicone Foam with higher tear and tensile strength than the lighter grade silicone foam. The thickness is available from 0.031 to 0.25 in. It has very excellent memory and low stress relaxation which reduces the maintenance costs from gasket failures caused by compression set and softening. This material is designed for use in enclosures requiring a more durable, high closure force gasket, and ideal for sealing and protecting outdoor communication, lighting and electronic enclosures from small dust particles, wind-driven rain and fire. HT-820 is usually applied by laminating adhesive tape on one side or two sides then die cut into custom parts for easy application.
